a trip to little india (Monday, September 27, 2004 / 5:11 AM)
Dear diary,
Yewhoo!!! Today ain't a good start to the long weekdays because i am having my pms & it hurts like hell! Don't know why also because my breast hurts too and that sounds a little weird to me because i never experienced anything like that before due to the fact that i don't normally feel any pain when i have my pms. Enough of this because i knows that you guys won't want to hear about my pms too right? *giggles* Last saturday was a enjoyable day because i went out with elisa to the little india!!! YES! We finally went there for after 5 years! I still remembered the first time i actually went there and that was like when i was in P6. We met up at the outram mrt platform and this time round we were pretty on time in meeting each other, we started to take pics while waiting for the mrt to come =) We were actually lost in the first place because we did not know which route to take to go to the little india arcade so we just try our luck in walking around before we found it! Little india arcade was relatively still the same just that it is newly furnished and that the food centre inside was undergoing renovation....looked around all the stalls and was quite impressed with the things i saw =) Continued making our way all around the little india, walked into their temple and looked around but did not dare to take any pics even though there were foreigners doing so because i feels that it's quite disrespectful ya? There was also this shop where they sell the 3D sculpture of their gods & goddess and oh my goodness, it was soooo impressive and i don't know how to put it into words, you really ought to go and take a look for urself =) Finally bought 2 tube of heena!!!! Yeah, this was then the highlight of the day because i all along wanted to buy heena but just din know the right place to get it =) Oh yeah, did i mentioned that i even tried the traditional food there? Yeah, we went to a small little restaurant down there and ordered a cheese dosa while elisa ordered a pungnee sort of thing, anyway, mine was a creep with cheese inside while elisa's one was also a creep but there was potato inside i think. The gravy to go with the dosa was alright but it was still nice to get a taste of their traditional food =) After shopping for like 2 hours down there, we went to the mrt platform to wait for the mrt but suddenly we decided to help each other to use the heena to tattoo our back! Thus i asked elisa to draw an angel which i designed...it is on the left hand side of my back, there is also the word princess on my right arm =) It was sooooo fun!!! We took 1hour to get it done and i think we invited lots of what-are-you-doing kind of expression from all the people who walked past us, there was even this uncle who jokingly said he wanted me to draw for him and i replied if he wants me to draw it, he will have to pay then =p We also took pics of the heena tattoo & also some pics whereby we purposely trys to be mean *lol* It was a really great trip!!! After little india, our next trip was the esplanade because the night scenary there was quite breathtaking in some ways, there were many events going on at the esplanade there as the mid-autumn festival is coming and we saw the rabbit, monkey king, chang er & the huo yi! haha, they were dressed up by people, being the cheeky us, we went to take pics with them....HAHA!! The uncle who sells the boatride ticket also asked if we wanna buy the tickets but we say no & he kept asking everytime we walked past him, he also trys to give us a dollar discount everytime -.-" Do you know something? There were many army guys down there too because the following day will be thier marathon sort of thing and we just sat down there looking at them...haha, its been sometime since i ever sat down to watch some guys *bleah* Photos were taken again....the day then ended =) Shall go already because i still have to do the last bit of touching up for my F&N project =p Wish me luck in doing it!!! Ciaos!! =)
